ABOUT IIMM
Indian Institute of Materials Management is a professional body recognized by ISTE (MHRD) Govt. of India for the promotion of the profession of Materials Management in India. The mission of the Institute is “To Promote Professional Excellence in Materials Management towards National Prosperity through Sustainable Development”.
The Institute represents a wide spectrum of professionals engaged in various facets of materials management responsible for planning, sourcing, control and distribution of materials and services.
Through its wide network of 51 branches & 19 chapters spread over the length & breadth of the country, IIMM is dedicated to the profession of Materials Management through its multifarious activities including various Educational Courses, Executive Development Programmes, Seminars, Workshops, In-house Training Programme & Consultancy. The institute has established its Research Centre in association with IISWBM at Kolkata.
Institute conducts Post Graduate Diploma in Materials Management (PGDMM) & Post Graduate Diploma in Logistics & Supply Chain Management (PGDL&SCM) approved by AICTE at the initial stage, IIMM’s GDMM is also accredited by a World Body i.e. International Federation of Purchasing and Supply management (IFPSM) as it meets the Global Standards set up by IFPSM. IIMM also brought Materials Management Discipline under the Apprentice Act, so that the students after doing our GDMM/PGDMM course could get an opportunity to work with Govt. / PSU etc. just after completion of training, till such time they get a suitable appointment.
IIMM provides in-house training programs to various Govt. & Pvt. Sector Organizations for Development of Skill/Knowledge of their employees. Some of them are ONGC, Jindal Steel & Power, EIL, Johnson & Johnson, Coal India, and Mother Dairy etc. IIMM is also providing consultancy services to Govt. and Pvt. Sector on various aspects of Material/Supply Chain Management. IIMM also helped the College of Materials Management, Min. of Defense, Jabalpur, for development & supply of Reading Material for their MBA Program to meet their need.
IIMM publishes its monthly Journal – Materials Management Review which contains the latest articles on the subject and is circulated among its members and 49 IFPSM member Countries.
